OK one more Quickie !!

Some of you may know I’m an instructor at NCI too, I love doing it ! I meet tons of new people oldbies and newbies and its great fun. I like to help out there because NCI was so helpful to me when I hit the grid.

Brace Coral founded NCI in April 2005. Current Executive Director Carl Metropolitan took the reins in September 2005. His staff includes Deputy Director Tateru Nino, Deputy Director Garn Conover, Education Director Afon Shepherd, Freebie Director Nardok Corrimal, Events Coordinator Gramma Fiddlesticks, AdNode Coordinator Eric Boyer, AdNode Sales fr43k Paine, IT Director Yukiko Omegamu, and InfoNode Project Director Yumi Murakami.

That being said NCI instructors set out tip containers and sometimes we are tipped and sometimes we are not and sometimes we get really helpful useful tips and great gifts but most importantly we make new friends . Like last night, my class filled to 15 so I made a ton of new friends, I encourage them all to friend me that way I’m just and IM away if they need help or a chat , anything !

One of the people who attended the class dropped some really great gifts on me , awesome jewely and really nice nails and one dropped me an LM to a shop and added me to friends list. I even got a kiss !

So I finished up class we all stood around chatting for a bit covering more questions and answersand I popped over to the LM I was given,the shop is called LaRosa. Everything in the store …..10L. Let me show what I found!

Check it ! Cute little jean skirt outfit. It came with sculpty boots too but one of the textures was messed up   but hey all I spent was 10L  so I’m not unhappy….so I remembered these cute kicks from the Kiss Hunt and rummaged thru my inventory and found my favorite little ruffle socks from Rebel Hope. The bracelets were a gift , part of the jewelry from a girl who took my class.

What’s New by Alexander?

Oh there’s so many places to shop! The reason fashion blogs are so helpful though is that you can get a preview of items in the stores before you go. Looking for just the right jewelry set? Perhaps Alexandar Vargas has what you desire. Recent release Blush I’ve found myself wearing several times since I’ve had it, as it is a classic set that will work well for most occasions. Here’s a close up look at how elegantly the choker sits on the neck and the lovely cut of the perfect little earrings. The heart has a key on the choker and that thoughtful detail by Alexander doesn’t go unnoticed by me!

Here you can see how the bracelet lays on the wrist, complimenting the choker and earrings perfectly.

I have paired by Alexander’s Blush set with Beau Monde’s Cleo, Moody’s Bare heels in Silver, TRUTH Ash ponytail, pretty hibiscus flower for my hair from Eolande’s and a brand new Lion SU Skin.

Alex was inspired by the days of old in the south for his newest release, Tilly’s Charm. He’s created a choker, earrings, bracelet and ring that have a beautiful Victorian flare.

The choker has a gold ‘bowtie’ at the neck with a vivid opal and little opal drops around the neck. The pendant drops down to a stunning larger opal with diamonds surrounding it. Earrings are done in a diamond with gold as well, the old-fashioned bow tie at the ends.

This bracelet is reminiscent of a corsage and is done in a large bow with an opal. The ring has an opal embedded with bands inside two outer ones held together by two butterflies on the sides, with diamonds outlining the other.

I’m wearing Beau Monde’s Belle with by Alexander’s Tilly’s Charm. Hair is from Amacci, Laura in Jet Black, skin is a Beauty Avatar Nefertiti in Bronze. And if you could see my shoes in this picture then you’d know I’m wearing Stiletto Moody Pin ups in black, but I thought this was plenty enough pictures for now!

Mythology and photoLIFE announce :

 

Take your picture in your favorite Mythology outfit!  In a collaboration with Mythology and photoLIFE, Mythology is having a photo contest.  Get your friend’s together, grab a pose and take a snapshot of yourself enjoying Mythology clothing.  Send all submissions to Aeris Pinazzo in a notecard labled “Mythology Photo Contest – YOUR NAME HERE”.   The contest will run from March 1st until March 30th.
Rules:
1. All characters in photo’s must be wearing Mythology clothing.  No Nudity Allowed. 

2. Dimensions of photo are to be no greater than 1024×1024.

3.  Photos can be touched up in Photoshop or Gimp, but in NO WAY can the clothing be altered in the photo. 

3. Entries can have multiple people in them, but the prize will be shared among all participants in an entry.  The same photo(s) may not be submittied by multiple people in the hopes of winning multiple prizes.  All people pictured in each photo must be listed by name in the notecard submitted. 

4. Limit of 5 submitted entries per week per person.

5. Any entries that do not meet the above qualifications will be tossed.
Prizes.
1st Prize will be rewarded with a photo studio from photoLIFE (8000L value), the picture displayed in the store indefinitely, a 1000l gift card and the opportunity to model one of the new releases.  The photoLIFE studio will be awarded by the Face of photoLIFE Kate Stockholm.

2nd Prize will be rewarded with the picture displayed in the store indefinitely and a 500l gift card

3rd Prize will be rewarded with the picture displayed in the store indefinitely and a 250l gift card.

All winners will be announced the first week in April. It is highly  preferable that the winner show up to the winner announcing event but not required.

Prizes will be presented by Kate Stockholm, the face of photoLIFE.

Insight For The Guys!

Coming up, Friday March 13th @ 12 noon SLT and Saturday, March 14th @ 4pm SLT, is our newest fun Opium Insight project, The Fight.  Is it a boxing match or is it a fashion show?  Well, you’ll just have to show up to find out for sure!   The two-day event is inspired by this question:  Where is the best clothing for men to be found on the grid?

Do you know?  Well, I can’t say I did before embarking on this project and I’m quite sure there will be stores that I miss which should very much be featured in a show such as this.  And that’s where we can use your help in providing this service to the fashion community.  Come to one of the shows and let us know what your favorite stores are by sending in a voting notecard at the end of one or both of the shows.  What you tell us will be published, every voice heard.  It is our belief that if there is a store out there consistently producing quality clothing for men, that store that should be recognized and rewarded with new business.  So this one’s for you guys!  But you don’t want to miss the gorgeous OFA ring girls….either.

Let me take this time to thank with all sincerity those companies that have agreed to sponsor this very expensive project, making it so much easier on us to produce it.
