The photoLIFE 3.0 Digital Photography Studio Features and Overview

Control Center
===========================================================
1) MAIN – FLOOR – LAYER – FILTER – FX1 – FX2 Texture Displays- Controls and sets the texture over the photoLIFE 3.0 Studio. The arrows scroll through the textures while touching the display screen sets the texture on the studio when the appropriate display is selected.

2)TPN – “Texture Panel” allow the photographer to scroll through 36 textures at a time.  The TPN works for all 6 Texture selectors ( Backdrop, Floor, Layer,  Filter,  FX1, and FX2).  You can also search each display for the textures you want to find.  This revolutionizes the photography process and and saves a lot of time finding that perfect texture for your clients shot.

3)CPN – “Color Panel” allows the photographer to change the color on any of the lighting or Texture application areas. It has 120 colors to choose from and any combination of color applications with component selector buttons. Very useful.

4)Texture Bright Controller- The round white/purple button at the bottom of the Control Center, turns the prim face of the backdrop to full bright illuminating shadows.

5) Texture Tiler Controllers- The three buttons, near the floor of the display stand, tile the textures on the backdrop,floor, and layer face from 1-10.

6)Component Hide / Show Selector- The hide / show buttons on the Control Center -  – hides and shows all components of the photoLIFE studio system that could be a potential obstruction to the photographer.

7)Memory Module – MM24 – The MM24 Memory Module allows you to save up to 24 scenes to memory. It records 12 components into memory saving lighting colors, lighting power, UL heights, Textures, Colors , Pro Filter Information. You can save up to 24 scenes with 1 MM24 module. Buy other modules if you need more scenes. Unlimited capabilities.

8)Ambient Lighting Selector- The Ambient Light menu on the right display stand controls a 5 light ambient lighting system designed to give uniform lighting over the backdrop area. This menu gives full control over power with 4 intensities, and 9 colors to choose from.

9)Prop Rezzing System- Included in version 3.0 is a Prop Rezzer. Near the floor of the Control Center, you’ll notice a button that says “Prop”. Touching it gives you the prop menu. The arrows on each side of the prop button  scrolls through the props installed.  Included in version 3.0 is the photoLIFE Prop Setup Script.  This allows you to install your own props into the studio.

10) Owner’s Menu – The Little Red Button- Syncs and groups all desired photoLIFE components with the main studio for a variety of applications and arrangements. (Only the studio owner can sync and group photoLIFE components).

11) Notecard Access- Notecard configuration limits who is eligible to use the studio. Settings allow ANYONE, GROUP, or LIST giving unlimited control over the studio access.

12) Backdrop Size Controller- The photoLIFE logo near the floor selects small, medium, or large for the backdrop size.

13) Security Menu – Once the ACCESS card is set , you can go into the security menu and change your security on all of your components with 1 click .  Set to Owner Only , List , Group , or Anyone. You can even lock and unlock the studio.

14) Locator Menu – Calls the components into their default location according to the studio position. Great for finding that gazer again!

 

 
Umbrella Lights
===========================================================

1) 4 Power Levels- Touching the power head scrolls through four power levels;  low, medium, high , and max.

2) 4 Heights- Touching the stand scrolls through 4 height positions for the light; low, medium, high, and max.

3) 120 Color Choices- Touch the umbrella to scroll through 12 high quality colors or use the Color Panel on the Control Center to change between 120 different color selections. The photoLIFE color palette was select and converted to LSL from the SpectraMaster TM  color palette providing rich color while avoiding harsh color overtones.

 

HUD
===========================================================

1) Minimizing and Maximizing- Touching the logo makes the HUD minimize and touching it again maximizes it.

2) Full Standard Operational Controls-  textures, particles, lighting, color , texture bright controls, hide/show controls, tiler controls, and backdrop size controls.

3)Full Component Operational Controls- Independent slave light operation and complete pose stand selector functions.

4) Red Sync Button- Turns the listen script off or on, and selects the default listen channel used by default in the studio.  (Only the studio owner can sync and group photoLIFE components).

5) TPN selector- Allows users to scroll through 36 textures at a time instead of 1 by 1. Utilizes search features.

6) Upgradable

 

Camera
===========================================================

1) Camera Position Assist-  Using your arrows on the keyboard controls the camera view.  Left & Right arrows pan the view. Up arrow zooms in , Down arrow zooms out. Page Up moves up and Page Down moves down.

2) Camera sets the background texture

3) Photographer Animation- Avatar sitting on camera is animated with a realistic photographer animation.

 
pL3 Pose Stand System
===========================================================
Pose disk must be active to change poses. To make a pose disk active touch it so it’s red in color.

1) The Pose Stand Controller – Shuffles and controls Active Pose Disk

2) Pose Disk – Copiable – Modifiable – able to be used simultaneously or individually for unique creativity and power.

3)Pose Disk Positions – using the green arrows you can control the position of the Active Pose Disk.

4) Hide & Show – Hides and Shows the Active Pose Disk

5)Arrows and Menus controls- When a pose disk is “active”  Use arrows to scroll through the singles poses or touch the stand on the couples disk to get a menu to control the couples poses.
Gazer
===========================================================

1) Arrows on the GAZER and the HUD Pose Menu both control the direction the gazer goes. Clients can ALT+CLICK on the gazer so you can control the diretion their eyes move. Touching the front and back panels cases the gazer to move forward and backwards.

2)HUD Hide – The center button on the HUD POSE Menu Hides the gazers as well as the Studio Hide.

 
MANY OTHER FEATURES NOT LISTED

Rules

34 photo entry panels are setup at the main couryard on the Opium Sim. Contestants will submit their photos by placing them in the entry panels.  Once the panels are full no more contestants will be able to submit their entry until the next round.

Elimination rounds will be held throughout the month by the judges. During these rounds photo’s that would not be held in consideration for the grand-prize will be eliminated.  Once a photo is eliminated that entry panel will then become available for a new entry from any photographer without a current standing photograph.

The number of photos eliminated will vary for each round depending on the quality of the photographs submitted.

photographers with more than 1 standing entry per round are subject to be eliminated. In other words, do NOT submit more than 1 photo. If your photo is not eliminated during a round, do not submit another one.  If you photo was eliminated , then you may enter another photograph as long as there is an available entry panel.

The number of entry panels that may become available for each round is not predictable.

Judges will be selected by the photoLIFE administration from the fashion & photography community. Any team member or Cp may compete during this event. 

Judges will not be able to compete – No Nudity

 

To Enter

Step 1
Use the pL3 photography system to capture your unique version of the changing of seasons. You can select any one or combination of the 4 seasons. (winter, spring, summer, fall).  You may use your own pL3 or the two display units located at the photolife store in Opium.

Step 2
Press and hold down your CTRL key then drag your photo onto the panel. 

Step 3
Only one entry per photographer per round. If your photo was elimated during one of the judging rounds, you may enter a new photograph.
Prizes

Grand Prize – The photoLIFE Masterpiece Award – 10,000L 

Runner Up -  An Honorable Mention Award – 2,000L

Third Place – An Honorable Mention Certificate – 500L

The  prizes will be selected using the following standards not necessarily in this order.
    1. Composition of the Image
    2.  Expression of the Topic
    3.  Creative Lighting
    4.  Use of Studio Features
