The Torrid Elegance of Violator

Violator. What else can I say other than my jaw hits the floor every time I walk into the main store and experience the wearable art of Soraya Vaher.  Soraya’s designs are nothing short of breathtaking. They are a perfect fashion fusion of art, couture, and wearability. They absolutely violate your senses…and it feels ohhh soooo good.

The Swan Overture jacket and trouser for men is a brilliant example of the lucid dreamscape of fashion that one will find at the Violator boutique, and in all of Soraya’s designs. This ensemble is not only amazingly original, but absolutely gorgeous and impeccably constructed.

The Swan Overture jacket has a perfectly fitted, slim, elegant line. It features a flawlessly textured metallic silver swan design, blousing prim cuffs, and a black prim collar that is accented by the jetting tentacles that are a hallmark of the Violator collection. Blade Runner goes to the boardroom, as a solid black prim tie brings a formality to the very futuristic look.

A coordinating pair of black trousers accents the striking metallic texture of the jacket.  Block design patches feature the same silver swan texture of the jacket, and give the trousers a distinctly masculine feel.

While many designers would stop here, Soraya’s creative juices keep flowing. The result is a brilliant metallic textured belted half skirt. The skirt defies all logic as a piece that absolutely should not work….but it DOES! Not only does it work, but it is a synthesizing piece of genius that takes an elegant couture design and transforms it into a single, unified piece of wearable art.

The designs of Soraya Vaher are not passive pieces of clothing. Despite being fully functional, they are not created strictly for function. These are living, breathing pieces of art that need to be experienced to be dolefully appreciated, and adequately expressed.
